Still doing my pre-flight check by hand

Someone in another thread made the case that once your bracket orders are wired up through the api, the manual pre-trade checklist is dead weight and just slows your entries down. Mildly disagree. My script places the stop fine, but it can't tell me I'm sizing up because I'm annoyed about yesterday, or that I already have three positions correlated to the same thing. Takes me maybe forty seconds to read down my list before I arm anything. Losing forty seconds has never once cost me a trade worth having.

There's something in the pause itself, separate from the items on the list. It gives the decision a second author. I notice on the days I skip it, the trade was usually already decided emotionally before I opened the app.

my checklist was one line, "are you sure", and i answered yes every single time including the memorable occasions. so yeah, the correlation item is the one i'd have needed.
