How does the app handle time zones for crypto?

Stocks have an obvious session. For crypto I want to know what "today" means in the statistics — my local day, UTC, or something else. It changes how I read the daily numbers.

Fair question, and it's one where a wrong assumption quietly distorts everything downstream. Daily aggregation follows a fixed boundary rather than your local clock, so your "day" is consistent across sessions and machines. The practical advice from your own board applies here too: if your strategy has any time-of-day component, run the same test with the boundary shifted and see whether results move. If they do, the boundary is a parameter you should be choosing deliberately.

The shifted-boundary test is genuinely worth doing. Mine moved more than I expected.

utc boundary is the sane default. your local midnight is arbitrary anyway. just label your notes with the boundary you used and stop second guessing it.

I notice the bigger effect for me is emotional, not statistical — when my personal day ends at a different hour than the reported one, I keep checking late at night to see where the number lands. Does anyone else find the boundary quietly sets their bedtime?

I spent about a month convinced I had a terrible Monday problem. Turned out half my "Monday" losses were Sunday night trades landing on the other side of the boundary. Fixed nothing, just renamed my mistake.
