Chart doesn't redraw after long idle

Steps: Leave the chart open overnight without interacting, come back in the morning. Expected: Current data. Actual: Chart shows the last state from hours ago until I click or switch symbols, then it catches up instantly. Underlying data seems fine, it's the drawing that's asleep. Impact: Cosmetic, but for a few seconds every morning I think something is badly wrong.

Reproduced. It's a render-loop throttle that isn't waking on new data after a long idle period. Cosmetic in effect but you're right that "looks broken" has a real cost at 6am. Fixing the wake condition.

Same here, every morning, and every morning my stomach drops for a second.

Yes! I do a hard refresh before I even look at prices now, just so my brain doesn't panic!! Glad it's a known thing and not my machine dying.

This is the most day-trader problem I've ever read. My charts sit idle for days at a time and I just assume they're lying until proven otherwise.

Worth noting the same thing happens on my machine after the screen sleeps, not just overnight — so the wake condition might be tied to the display state too, not only elapsed idle time. Might help narrow it down.
