too many things want my attention during a session

the screen has more moving parts than i need. i'm not asking for features to be removed, i'm saying the default layout assumes i want to watch everything and i don't. what i actually need open while a strategy runs: positions, and a way to stop it. everything else is optional and most of it is a distraction i've chosen to tolerate. would rather start minimal and add than start full and hide.

Same request from a different angle in my feature post. Start minimal is the right default for a tool you use every day.

Attention is the scarce resource and the default layout spends it for you.

Noted, and it's a fair framing. Right now the layout is add/remove from a full default rather than build-up from empty, so the best you can do today is collapse what you don't want and it persists per device. A minimal starting preset is on the list but I won't pretend it's near-term, no date from me.

I ended up doing this manually — collapsed everything except positions and the kill control, and it took me maybe ten minutes once. Worth doing even if the default never changes.

honestly the extra panels are how i talk myself into stupid adds. less on screen = less itch. would be doing my leverage a favour

There's a measurable version of this: the more elements visible, the more discretionary interventions per session, at least in my own log. I stopped tracking it properly after a month but the direction was clear. Have you counted how often you actually act on the panels you'd close?
