Multi-timeframe context in three steps

I used to have four charts open and no framework. Now it's three questions, always in this order: 1. Higher timeframe — what's the bias? Am I trading with it or against it? Both are allowed, but I should know which. 2. My timeframe. Is there a setup, by the definition I wrote down? 3. Lower timeframe. Is there a reason to wait a few minutes for a better entry price? Step 3 is optional. Steps 1 and 2 are not, and doing them in the wrong order is how I used to talk myself into trades.

The "in the wrong order" part is what I needed. I've been doing 2 then 1, which is just justification.

Clean framework. The fact that both directions are allowed but must be named is the part most people skip.
