stopped tweaking live and went back to sample data

my night setup's been on small size for about three weeks now and every time something looked off i'd just nudge a param and let it keep going. which is basically testing with real money at 3am while half asleep. anyway i grabbed one of the sample days off the downloads board after going through that backtest walkthrough, dropped it where it wanted, and ran the same config against it instead. took maybe fifteen minutes total including me putting the file in the wrong folder first. the reading-the-result part was the useful bit for me, i'd been staring at the wrong number as if it meant something. no more midnight param nudges, i'll just replay the day.

Glad it slotted in. Worth flagging that one sample day is one day — it won't tell you how the config behaves through a quiet weekend or a fast move, so treat it as a sanity check rather than proof. If you want more coverage you can start recording your own alongside, and the sample files stay there either way.
