Price-by-Volume Levels
Which price levels accumulated the most traded money today — the session's gravity wells.
What it means
Bucket the day's turnover by the price at which it traded and you get a profile: some prices barely traded, others absorbed enormous amounts. The heaviest level is where the most money changed hands — positions defended on both sides.
Price tends to react at these levels: they act as support when approached from above and resistance from below, because the traders who built them respond when their entry price is revisited.
Why traders care
- Data-derived support/resistance — no chart drawing, just arithmetic on the tape.
- Breaks of the heaviest level carry information: the biggest position holders just lost their line.
